Just popping in with a quick and easy recipe for you today. Lately, I’ve been struggling a bit with finding time for lunch, since it all depends on baby’s schedule. No matter what, I need something that I can eat fast! Enter this Curried Tuna Salad with Apples.
Curry powder is one of my favorite spices and I especially love it in tuna and chicken salad. Instead of mayo, I like to use smashed avocado and hummus for a bit of healthier fat without sacrificing the classic, creamy texture. To make things even more fun and add a bit of sweetness and crunch, I added apples!

Curried Tuna Salad with Apples
A quick and easy lunch idea that’s full of flavor!
- Prep Time: 5 minutes
- Total Time: 5 minutes
- Yield: 3-4 1x
- 2 cans of tuna, drained
- 1/4 cup hummus
- 1/4 cup avocado, smashed
- 1/2 c apple, chopped
- 1/4 cup onion, diced
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 – 2 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard powder
- Combine tuna, hummus and avocado and mix well.
- Add remaining ingredients and str to combine.
- Serve with veggie slices or crackers or eat it on a sandwich!
I like to use Sabra’s Supremely Spicy Hummus, but feel free to use whatever flavor you’d like!
I often make a batch of this on Sunday and then all I have to do is scoop it onto some crackers or sliced veggies any time I need a quick lunch.
