  1. This is such a great list! I’m honestly the worst with my apps. I have facebook, twitter, and instagram. That’s all. Kind of sad, but I just never know what to download and don’t want to feel overwhelmed! Thanks for this!

I’m in the same boat as you Lisa! I only had Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr. My phone is currently downloading at least half of these! Thanks Lindsay!

  2. I just sat here with my phone downloading all the free apps you mentioned that I didn’t already have. I’m super excited about the App Gratis. That sounds so cool! The app I’m currently loving (it’s almost sad, really) is Follwers Plus. Basically, it tells you when someone either starts following you or stops following you on instagram. Kinda sad that I care that much, huh? ;)
Avery @ Southern Belle Living Well recently posted..WIAW + Picture Per Hour

  3. I just added Feedly, too. So far, so good. And, my new obsession is Instagram! I’m not a huge social media person (facebook, twitter), but I’m liking Instagram. :) I like my Walkie-Talkie app, that’s basically texting but via voice instead of typing.
Michelle @ Eat Move Balance recently posted..KISS: Curried Quinoa with Roasted Potatoes and Asparagus

  4. Chrome seeks with your computers bookmarks?!

My life has been forever changed. I’m surprised I don’t have the app already I’m a pretty hardxcore chrome fanatic.

  7. I love finding out the apps that people use! SO much fun!

  8. “Phonto” and “Color splash” are quite intriguing. I may “back up” when I get home so I will have enough space for them. Thanks for the suggestions and informative post.
I have a lot of phone pet peeves, which is why I am seriously lacking in the “apps” department. However, I do really enjoy Map My Run ( which you can also use while walking, hiking, biking, or some other exercise modes). It provides live updates if you want them, which I especially like while biking.

  9. Great list! I have most of these, but I’m so impatient when it comes to pics that I rarely use any of the apps I have (except IG, of course).

I continue to love Sleep Cycle – it’s the only reason I make it out of bed in the morning. I’m also digging Full Fitness to track my gym progress and JustUnfollow to track Twitter and IG stats.
Laura @ Sprint 2 the Table recently posted..A Death Race and a Birthday

  10. LogYourRun is great. It lets you keep track of the mileage on your shoes–love that! A totally fun crazy one is Vid Rhythm. It’s free and I’m betting you and hubs would get a kick out of it. Gotta have my Words with Friends and 4 Pics 1 Word is a new fave. Shouout to a local fave kcradio.com. They have a great music mix. And they list the songs they play. I like that feature. Have a great day!!!! :)

  22. Wow!!! Thanks for sharing. I just downloaded some of the apps you listed. Some of them I didn’t know exist and I need them! :) So excited! :)

    I have a few favorites:
    * Gas Buddy – gas is expensive, need to know where I could find the cheapest one in the area. :) Really helpful! :)
    * Voxer – like a chat but instead of text, you send voice messages… really cool especially if you want to connect with your family & friends from other countries for free! :)
    * Pic Stitch – it’s a photo collage editor! I use this often for pics I want to post on Instagram.

Thanks again!!! I have now 9 new apps from your list! LOL! :)

  25. I know I’m going to sound archaic (perhaps crazy in this day and age) but I don’t have an iPhone and the phone I do have sees little use. I’m just not a phone person. Though, when I do use my phone I probably use the yelp app the most – it’s so helpful for finding good places to eat, shop, etc. when I’m out and about. My husband has an iPhone though, so I’ll have to pass this list along to him. ;)

Thanks for this awesome list =)

  33. I love the PhotoMarkr app for the iPhone. It lets me add text to my photo right before I save it to Instagram or post it to twitter/fb. I’m obsessed with putting my copyright on my photos before they go online.

  34. what a helpful post! I feel like there are so many apps that its hard to pick and choose. I spent the other day download SO many food apps that are helpful for patients too! Try Fooducate!

  36. Instagram (obsessed as well), Facebook, Pinterest, and Feeddler (which has worked well for me but I still might switch to Feedly) are what I use the most for sure! Have you ever heard of stumbleupon.com ? It’s a website and an app and it’s a great way to find cool articles/pictures on topics that interest you. You should check it out!

  37. Thanks for sharing these great apps, Lindasy! I am going to test a few of them out once I get home from my shift at DISH. Diptic, Snapseed, and PopBooth sound interesting. While I’m here, I would like to tell you about my favorite travel app. It’s called DISH Anywhere; with it I can stream all of my live TV channels or DVR programs anywhere I can get a wireless connection. It is awesome because I can stay current with my favorite shows, even if I am in another country.
