Hi Friends!
I’ve got a fun new salmon recipe to share with you guys today. The other weekend I was in the mood for salmon. We eat a lot of salmon, most often in burger/cake form…but this time I was in the mood for something different. This is super easy and it comes together quickly.
We picked up some pineapple at Kroger when they were on sale for $1 and immediately knew I wanted pineapple black bean salsa! I put together a quick teriyaki glaze for the salmon, threw together the salsa, put it on a plate and called it a day!
So here’s what you do:
PrintTeriyaki Salmon with Pineapple Black Bean Salsa
This easy recipe is full of healthy fats and is ready in a snap. Let the fiesta begin!
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 10 minutes
- Total Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- For the Sauce:
- 3 Tbsp low-sodium teriyaki sauce
- Juice from half a lemon
- 1 Tbsp thai chili sauce
- 1–2 tsp freshly grated ginger
- For the Salsa:
- 1 c black beans
- 3/4 c pineapple, diced
- 1/4 c red onion, diced
- 1 Tbsp fresh cilantro
- Additional Ingredients:
- Salmon Fillets
Instructions
- Mix salsa ingredients together in a small bowl and let stand.
- Mix the sauce ingredients together in a small bowl.
- Place the salmon fillets in a heated non-stick pan.
- Top with half the sauce.
- Pan sear until salmon is cooked through, flipping occasionally.
- Remove from pan and top with extra sauce.
- Serve with salsa.
Doesn’t get any easier than that, friends! I didn’t even marinate the salmon and it still tasted great! If you have extra time and want to marinate it, go for it…but I don’t think it’s necessary. You can also grill the salmon instead of pan-searing it!
Enjoy!

We are both on a salmon kick I think! love this salsa idea. I have black beans but no pineapple right now… but I do have mango and cilantro… that could be good. Love this idea -and mouth-watering pic!!

It looks so fresh and easy. I have been looking at salmon recipes on Pinterest… trying to increase my Omega 3’s via food not supplements and, always looks for low cal, heathy recipes because we eat so many treats throughout the holidays. Plus, Salmon is orange and a seafood #plumporangebean
Looks SO delicious.. salmon is my absolute favorite food!
This is great, b/c let me tell you, my family is tired of my same old, same old salmon recipe!
That salsa sounds amazing! I bet it goes well with a lot of other things too.
My boyfriend is going to lose is mind (in a good way!) when I tell him we have to make this. YUM!
Salmon is my favorite! I picked up a salmon salad for dinner last night because I just had to have it. I’m always intimidated about making my own salmon at home. I worry that I’ll dry it out/overcook it or something!
This looks GREAT!!!
That looks so yummy….thanks for the recipe idea!
YUM! True fact. I am addicted to teriyaki. I get it from the organic section so I deem it “healthy” 😉
You had me at teriyaki… then again at pineapple! 😉 This looks delish! I’m always on the look-out for new salmon recipes, so this is perfect.
I love salmon but I’m pretty boring in terms of preparation – just simply broiled. This looks delicious!
