Baby Bean Is A

boy baby

It’s a Boy! If you follow me on social media, you already know…because we just couldn’t wait to spill the beans!

We had our appointment Monday morning and everything went well. We asked them to put the boy/girl pic in an envelope for us and when the appointment was over, we went out to breakfast and opened it.

Hubby has been saying boy since the beginning and he was thrilled. The look on his face when he opened the envelope was absolute joy. So priceless.

I’m happy as well. I would have been happy either way, but I’ve always thought if I was going to have a boy and a girl, I’d prefer to have the boy first – protective older brother for the win!

After breakfast we spent the morning shopping….I got some maternity clothes and we picked out a few outfits of baby as well!

We also totally randomly happened to watch an episode of Coach on Monday night that totally related to our day. This is pretty much exactly how hubby reacted to our news:

You should be able to click the embeded  video above to hear it. So funny.

So there you have it! Let the name planning begin 🙂 We’ve actually started looking at names and have several boy names we both like…so I think it will just be a matter of narrowing it down.

That’s all for today! Moms of boys, feel free to leave your advice, recommendations, send clothes and toys (kidding!) We’d love to hear it!

Enjoy!

Wahooooo! Congratulations! I’ve found lots of cute boys’ clothes at Gymboree or Crazy 8 (Gymboree’s sister store, but a little cheaper). Carter’s has some cute stuff too, but I find it’s kinda hit or miss. Have FUN!

How fun! Here’s my mom of (grown) sons advice: try to enjoy the ride. And leave your son intact (not circ’ed). I’m sure he will appreciate it both when he’s a baby and when he’s a grown man. As a midwife in training the only time I almost fainted was when I saw that procedure for the first time with the infant strapped down and screaming helplessly in pain. Had to leave and put my head down. And the pain of recovery from that is not what a newborn needs as part of their introduction to life (nor do the parents need the extra fussiness).

Oh ya – in terms of cute boy clothes – rompers are the cutest! Sleeveless rompers are adorably cute but any rompers are fine! But I would get them starting at 3 months cuz we only did sleepers and onesies at newborn since he was so small he needed to stay snuggled and warm!

Good morning and congratulations. I raised 3 boys and I just say hang on and enjoy the ride!! My boys did all sorts of things with us inside and out, they fixed things and did yard work, and they know how to do laundry and cook. There was a lot of messes and a LOT of joy. And my daughters in law thank me for raising such well rounded guys. 🙂
MOSTLY, do things that you think are right- listen to your gut and and your heart when it comes to raising a child. DON’T let other’s opinions sway you if you feel that something else is right. You know your child the best! Have a wonderful pregnancy – enjoy every step of the way. Take care!

Congratulations Lindsay! Honestly, having two boys has taught me so much–and not just about Star Wars! Boys really do approach the world differently. And though they may be louder and more active than many girls, my boys are also sweet, thoughtful, and sensitive. Also, boys love their moms something FIERCE, believe me. 🙂

WOW, so glad I hopped over to your blog. I have 2 boys and a boy puppy and my husband is one of 6 boys (and 1 sister) so I’m biased but boys are the best. Let me know if I need to send any small hockey sticks/skates. Fun, fun. I LOVE that you found out when you were alone that weird doctors office moment was never my favorite. Enjoy, feel good and names fun fun.
