Fall Favorites Revisited

I think the thing the hubby hates most about me having a food blog is that sometimes old favorites get lost in the shuffle as I try to come up with new recipes for the blog. So, I think it’s important that each season I take some time to revisit some of those tried and true favorite recipes that we enjoy eating year after year.

Here’s a couple of our Fall Favorites:
Click the links to see my original posts from last year. Try not to laugh at the miserable photography 🙂

Curried Sweet Potato Soup
I grew up eating this recipe. My mom made it all the time. I never really liked it when I was younger but now it’s a favorite of the hubby’s and mine!

Crockpot Applesauce
A great way to use up all those apples that are on sale this time of year! I made it this year without any added sugar and didn’t miss it a bit.

Pepitas!
My absolute favorite part of carving pumpkins 🙂

photo 75And of course I couldn’t leave you with a few Halloween pics 🙂

photo 76photo 77Yes that is a Pillsbury Doughboy snuggie 🙂 That’s how I roll.

What’s your favorite Fall recipe?

    Hahahaha…I love that photo.

Also, I am the same way. There are so many great recipes I’ve come up with or made that I have never made again! One of my goals for the coming months was to “redo” and “reshoot” a bunch of them now that I have a better camera and kind of know what I’m doing with this whole blog thing….kind of.

You’re so cute in the snuggle! I love chili as a fall recipe with green onions. And homemade Chex Mix. Yum!

I am the exact same way hun! I was actually looking back on all of my recipes yesterday and was like “omgoodness, why don’t I make that again!?” seemed to be a reoccurring statement! We are always developing new new new new, but forget about the amazing things we have already created!!!! 😀

thanks for sharing your favs <3

I really need to try making my own applesauce. I just realized (duh) that you can freeze it! My god, how my eyes have been opened! Haha!

Favorite fall recipe: chili…which is never really a “recipe” but more of a “what else can I throw in the pot?” kind of stew! 😉
