Fitness Friday 63

Hi Friends!

It’s been about a month since my last Fitness Friday, so let’s catch up shall we? As I like to do every so often, I took a couple of weeks to rest and reset my body, did some lighter weights during the wods, took a few extra rest days and did lots stretching and mobility to work out some kinks that have been building up after a few months of heavy lifting…I feel rested and refreshed now that I’m back at it and ready for the Open!

FF1

1. Miserable. 6:50 Rx
2. Probably the coldest walk of my life. My forehead was getting frostbite so I had to get creative with my scarf!
3. Tough one. 9:05 Rx
4.  8:16 with a 26# kb

ff2

1. Wod + max reps in 2 minutes of: double unders (154), push-ups (41) & sit-ups (70)
2. Opted for an at home workout tonight. Still one of my favs!
3.  Shoulder burner
4. Partner wod. Both do the reps but can’t move on to the next movement until both partners finish.

ff3

1. Front squats and a wod! 7+5 with 85#
2. BOOM! Finally hit a sub-5 minute Fran!!! I’ve been chasing that for months!
3. The Chief. Partial rounds don’t count except the last round. 5-5-4-4-5+1 Rx
4. Sunday funday. Holy effing legs! 15:47 Rx

ff4

1. Legs on fire! 3:41 Rx
2. EMOM push jerks, then the #wod. 12:19 with pull-ups instead of hspu. If you couldn’t do double unders, you had to do burpees and lemme just say, I’m glad I can do doubles 🙂
3. So in love with my custom nanos!
4. Our home gym is growing thanks to @bgliving – the Craigslist guru. He got us a brand new @roguefitness bar, plus a full set of bumper plates (230#) for 25% cheaper than retail!!

And some videos of hubby and I for your enjoyment:

You’ve been kicking some serious butt! Congrats! My workouts have been going well. I’m doing a 28 day yoga challenge this month where I’m taking 28 yoga classes in February, so I’m pretty sore from that, but I’m definitely getting stronger. Have a great Friday!

I absolutely loved the post-surgery dance, fantastic! My workouts have actually been lacking this past week due to lots of dinner parties this week. It’s client week for my husband, so after long nights out I’ve had little energy to get up in the morning for my workout. I am running a 7K on Sunday with friends, so I’m very much looking forward to getting back on track with the start of that race. Have a wonderful weekend!

Look at you go! Phew! Thats pretty impressive! I am in absolute awe of the one legged squats at the end there! I do them without a weight and thats tiring enough, let alone a weight ABOVE YOUR HEAD! You rockstar! 🙂

2 runs this week, both 8 miles. May try to sneak in a quick 3-5 miler on Saturday, then an 18 miler Sunday… That would be my week. I’ll always take 4/7 running days.

Happy vday to the bean couple.

Lots of great workouts! Well done on the sub-five minute Fran workout. I don’t do crossfit but I think most people know about that workout and how damn tough it can be.

My fitness has been up and down. I’ve been trying to improve on my squats and running but I’ve been having an issue with my left hip that has stopped me progressing. I went to the physic Wednesday and he hopefully found the cause and is helping me fix it so I can get back to it again.

My workouts lately have been “sluggish” and “boring”. I love running but there seems to be a dread lately. I blame this on the winter weather.

I survived! 🙂 Great weight workouts but the cardio was not the best.. thank god they are fixing the treadmills in my gym soon cause I think the issues are with them based on my 30+ years knowledge of running on them.. 🙂

I need to get back in the gym regularly, this weather lately has left me just lacking any motivation. I really like those pistol squats, I think that’ll be my goal comming up. Be able to do one lol
