Lindsay’s Lunchbox #6

Happy Friday friends!

I’m semi-embarrassed to you guys admit how much I love searching for fun lunch boxes to put at the beginning of these posts.  I wish I could have them all!

Today I’m sharing a couple of my go-to lunches for when I’m just not in the mood to think of anything more exciting, along with one of my new favorites.

1) Peanut Butter & Banana sandwiches
I used to love these as a kid and then I forgot all about them for about 15 years. When I went back to school and had to start packing my lunch, I rediscovered my love for them and now I probably pack one in my lunch at least one a week.

*Bonus! If you want your dogs to love you, shove the rest of the banana in a kong with some peanut butter and watch them try to get the banana out! Endless entertainment*

2) Cereal
As you may have gathered by now, I’m a cereal fanatic. I eat it for breakfast, I eat it before I go to bed, I eat it for dinner….and sometimes I eat it for lunch too icon smile Lindsays Lunchbox #6 Pick up one of these handy containers that keeps your milk and cereal separate until lunchtime!

Great for portioning your cereal as well! Or, if you’re at home, a regular bowl will do just fine!

And for a newly discovered favorite:

3) Pizza roll-ups!
I don’t buy fresh mozzarella all that often, but I needed some for my Chicken Parm bites and I had some leftover so I put it to good use! Spread some tomato sauce on a tortilla, cover with spinach and top with fresh mozzarella. Microwave to melt the cheese, slice and enjoy! Tastes just like a slice of pizza. You could also use shredded mozz or add some pepperoni or chicken sausage if you want to.

  3. Those lunch boxes are adorable! I love the idea of the pizza roll up (pure genius, esp with access to a microwave) and the cereal container is going on my list immediately! I’m a cereal freak too, but don’t even let myself have any anymore because I can sit and eat an entire box :)

  6. pizza roll ups are SUCH a good idea! And I always forget how delicious nut butter and banana sandwiches are. Have a wonderful weekend :)

    Oh- and I totally missed my chest with sun tan lotion our first day(whoops). Josh also missed his forehead the first day. We both laughed about it because we each had that 1 obvious spot. ;)

  7. Add a little honey to that peanut butter & banana and you’ll have even MORE awesome between two slices of bread. [And switch it up with pears and maple syrup….]

    Also, cereal is pretty much the staple food of my diet at the moment. Perhaps that is why I haven’t sent you my lunch photos.
